I was reluctant when the Cingular salesman suggested that I try this Samsung headset. I had been a Jabra BT250V user and I liked the comfortable over-ear design. I did however realize that from a size perspective and a style perspective that I should consider replacing my broken Jabra with a more stylish model that was significantly smaller and had the newest versions of Bluetooth. I just HAD to get something that meshed better with my new Blackberry Pearl.

I was immediately impressed with the Samsing WEP200. It synced as easily as any other headset I have tried – no problems whatsoever.

The design was a little puzzling, especially the loop extended out from the primary speaker area. I tried unsuccessfully several times to ram the thing into my ear. All I got was a sore ear and no working bluetooth headset. Nonetheless I THEN followed the instructions using the middle size ‘loop’ and with a little finesse, I put it in my ear, gave it a little twist as instructed and it stuck perfect hanging off my ear, just barely resting on my jaw-line.

I then fired up my phone and it sounded GREAT. There was no static and after a few test calls I realized that I was hearing my calls better than ever before and that my callers were also hearing me well. I’m used to trying unsuccessfully to talk in noisy environments. This little magic unit was helpful in allowing me to have conversations on the phone that other headsets couldn’t handle.

I do have occassional trouble getting the headset to set properly in my ear. It is frustrating, especially when I am in a rush when it just won’t set exactly right and it wiggles and feels like it might fall-out (which it sometimes, though rarely does.)

Because of my experience with other headsets and the love-hate relationship that usually ensues, this is a winner.

If you need a bluetooth headset, I strongly suggest that you pick-up this little marvel.
